Starting as a surveying engineer with a M.Sc. in GIS, I have over 20 years of international experience in managing, designing, developing and implementing GIS solutions including transportation, cadastral and environmental applications.
I worked in the UK for 10 years in a number of positions such as GIS Consultant and a team leader with my latest appointment being a senior product manager for Bentley Systems. I have been involved in a number of geospatial projects either from a technical or project/product management perspective utilising both commercial and open source software and for clients both in Greece and abroad, including a number of USDOTs, local councils in the UK and the Middle East, Greek ministries and highways agencies.
I am a member of the GIS Working Group of the Rural and Surveying Engineering Association (RSEA) of Northern Greece and in the past, I have served as a board member of HellasGIS, the GIS umbrella organisation of Greece.
A GIS evangelist at heart, I always love the opportunity to spread the GIS gospel and explain how geospatial technology can solve real-world problems. So you will often find me delivering webinars, tutorials, and presentations and blogging about geospatial technology issues and events.
