Consortis Geospatial Showcases the Interoperable Geospatial System of the Region of Central Macedonia at Beyond 2025

Consortis Geospatial successfully presented its cutting-edge project, the “Interoperable Geospatial System for the General Directorate of Development and Environment of the Region of Central Macedonia,” during the Beyond 2025 exhibition, held at Metropolitan Expo on April 5, 2025.

The presentation was delivered by Alexandros Ntoulas, Technical Director at Consortis Geospatial, who highlighted the project’s technological innovations and the wide range of benefits it offers. Developed in close collaboration with the Region of Central Macedonia, the system serves six Regional Units: Thessaloniki, Imathia, Kilkis, Pella, Pieria, Serres, and Chalkidiki.

The project comprises two key subsystems:

  • Subsystem I: An expansion and upgrade of the Information System initially launched in 2017, featuring complete digitization of archival records and the geolocation of all registered businesses across the region.
  • Subsystem II: The creation of an open governance mechanism utilizing satellite data visualization, integrated with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor air quality, marine activity, and water levels.

The presentation emphasized the system’s practical applications and tangible advantages, including:

  • Secure digital preservation and easy access to archival data
  • Improved service delivery for citizens and businesses
  • Real-time data access to address environmental and climate-related challenges
  • Enhanced emergency response capabilities for regional authorities

Consortis Geospatial’s participation in Beyond 2025 underscores the company’s commitment to delivering innovative geospatial solutions that support public administration, environmental protection, and sustainable regional development.
