Consortis Partners with the Municipality of Pavlos Melas for Strategic Watercourse Delimitation
Consortis has been entrusted with delivering the definitive watercourse delimitation study for the Municipality of Pavlos Melas, playing a vital role in advancing the municipality’s Local Urban Plan.
The contract was officially signed in the presence of Mayor Dimitris Aslanidis and Deputy Mayor for Urban Planning and Design, Theologos Papadopoulos. Representing Consortis, the General Director, Mr. George Tsakoumis, signed the agreement. The project was awarded through an open public tender process.
This study focuses on mapping and defining watercourses within newly designated urban development areas and zones earmarked for productive and business activities in the municipal units of Polichni and Efkarpia, as outlined in the approved General Urban Plans and the ongoing Local Spatial Plan (LSP) study.
The scope includes topographic surveys, hydrological and hydraulic analyses, technical documentation, and proposed boundary lines for each watercourse, in accordance with Law 4258/2014 and the relevant ministerial guidelines. It should be noted that this project does not involve the implementation of flood management or channelization works.
The study is a critical step toward securing final approval of the Local Urban Plan by the Ministry of Environment and Energy and supports the development of sustainable, well-structured urban areas.
At Consortis, we continue to actively support the sustainable transformation of cities through technical excellence, environmental responsibility, and strategic planning.
