VETh & Consortis: Empowering Businesses for Climate Compliance
With the participation of members of the Chamber of Small and Medium Sized Industries of Thessaloniki, the webinar jointly organized by the Chamber of Small and Medium Sized Industries of Thessaloniki and Consortis was successfully held on Thursday, June 25, under the title:
"National Climate Law: Obligations, Deadlines and Opportunities."
The event was opened by Mr. Marios Papadopoulos, President of the Chamber, and Georgia Zachou, Commercial Director at Consortis, who emphasized the importance of helping businesses understand and prepare for the new regulatory requirements introduced by the National Climate Law.
During the webinar, Consortis experts provided practical guidance on the implementation of the new legislative framework:
- Ahi Mantouza (@ahiMantouza), Environmental Engineer and Head of the Environmental Department, presented the key obligations arising from the National Climate Law, the critical compliance deadlines, and the applicable enforcement framework.
- Anna Kademidou (@Anna Kademidou), Environmental Engineer, showcased practical examples of calculating the carbon footprint of business facilities and explained their relevance to regulatory compliance.
- Georgia Zachou (@Georgia Zachou), Commercial Director at Consortis, highlighted why climate compliance is no longer merely a legal obligation but a strategic business imperative—driven by the growing expectations of customers, financial institutions, investors, and supply chains.
The interactive Q&A session that followed demonstrated the strong interest of participating businesses in the practical implementation of the National Climate Law and reinforced the need for reliable information and expert guidance.
Our sincere thanks go to Mr. Marios Papadopoulos (@Marios Papadopoulos), President of the Chamber of Small and Medium Sized Industries of Thessaloniki, the members of the Chamber's Board of Directors, and its administrative staff for their excellent collaboration.
